Living Will Directive (KY)
In Kentucky, a Living Will is a legal document that protects your right to refuse medical treatment you do not want, or to request treatment you do want, in the event that you lose the ability to make decisions yourself. With this document you can leave instructions in four critical areas:
- Designate a Health Care Surrogate;
- Refuse or request life prolonging treatment;
- Refuse or request artificial feeding or hydration (tube feeding); and
- Express your wishes for organ donation.
