Electrical Work Agreement (WV)
Whether renovating a commercial property or a residential property, you will most likely require the services of a qualified electrician. You may be the owner of the property, or the electrician providing the services. In either case, having a written agreement in place is a must to help ensure your project runs as smoothly as possible. Without one, you may be forced to rely on an oral agreement and each party may not agree on what was said. In the case of home improvement construction, a written agreement may even be required by your state.
This agreement will help you clearly set out:- The parties to the agreement
- The scope and specifications for the work
- Payment terms
- The work schedule
- Preferences relating to dispute resolution
Additionally, if the electrical work is for a residential property, this agreement will address any requirements under any home improvement law valid in your state.
Note that this agreement is only suitable for work done by licensed electricians, where there is a fixed price and not for an agreement based on time and materials. This agreement is intended to be used in connection with existing structures - not new construction projects.
