Plumbing Agreement (CA)
Whether plumbing a bathroom in a private home, or a number of bathrooms in a commercial building, you'll need a licensed plumber to complete the job. You may be the owner of the property, or the plumber providing the services. In either case, having a written agreement in place is a must to help ensure your project runs as smoothly as possible. Without one, you may be forced to rely on an oral agreement and each party may not agree on what was said. In the case of home improvement construction, a written agreement may even be required by your state.
This agreement will help you clearly set out:
- The parties to the agreement
- The scope and specifications for the work
- Payment terms
- The delivery schedule
- Preferences relating to dispute resolution
Additionally, if the plumbing is for a residential property, this agreement will address any requirements under any home improvement law valid in your state.
It is only suitable for work done by licensed plumbers, where there is a fixed price and not for an agreement based on time and materials. This agreement is intended to be used in connection with existing structures - not new construction projects.
