Notice of Lease Non-Renewal (OH)

Ohio

Giving your tenant a written notice that you will not renew their lease when it expires is an important step in making sure the tenant vacates your rental property at the end of their lease. We recommend sending the letter as far in advance of the lease termination as possible (preferably at least 30 days). You should review the lease to see if there are any notice requirements.

The letter will remind the tenant of the date they must vacate the premises and remind them to send you their forwarding address.

Note that this document is not a "Notice to Quit" and should not be used if you think that legal action will be required to remove the tenant, or if the termination date has already passed and the tenant has not left the rental property. You should consider consulting an attorney in this instance as most states have very specific requirements on how to proceed.
